    邏輯的規劃與構建

          在一篇完整的論文中,完整、清晰的邏輯框架是十分重要的。而這一點又是通過Figure所具體展現。不同的實驗結果展示成不同的Sub. Figure,闡述共同問題的、核心的Sub. Figures組合成不同的Figure,Figures間按照清晰的邏輯思路構建成一篇完整的文章。

          所以,在論文中應該包含兩層意義的邏輯結構:

          1 論據間的邏輯結構——Figure中各個Sub. Figure的規劃;

          2 論點間的邏輯結構——文章中各個Figure的規劃。

          對于論據間的邏輯結構,這就要求我們選取具有代表性的結果,通過不同的角度(如,基因、蛋白、細胞、組織、活體等),層次遞進,逐步拓展,探討問題。

          而對于論點間的邏輯結構,除了上述的實驗研究角度,還可以根據自身研究的通路出發,對文章的核心問題展開描述。

          Abstract: Aberrant expression of apurinic-apyrimidinic endonuclease–1 (APEX1) has been reported in numerous human solid tumors and is positively correlated with cancer progression; however, the role of APEX1 in tumor progression is poorly defined. Here, we show that APEX1 contributes to aggressive colon cancer behavior and functions as an upstream activator in the Jagged1/Notch signaling pathway. APEX1 overexpression or knockdown in human colon cancer cell lines induced profound changes in malignant properties such as cell proliferation, anchorage-independent growth, migration, invasion, and angiogenesis in vitro and in tumor formation and metastasis in mouse xenograft models. These oncogenic effects of APEX1 were mediated by the upregulation of Jagged1, a major Notch ligand. Furthermore, APEX1 expression was associated with Jagged1 in various colon cancer cell lines and in tissues from colon cancer patients. This finding identifies APEX1 as a positive regulator of Jagged1/Notch activity and suggests that it is a potential therapeutic target in colon cancers that exhibit high levels of Jagged1/Notch signaling.
